The Standing Senate Committee on Aboriginal Peoples is in La Ronge today on a fact-finding mission.

The committee is continuing its ongoing study into the conditions that foster or hinder successful economic development in Aboriginal communities.

Their tour of La Ronge includes visits with officials from the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, Northern Affairs and Northlands College.

The senators have already visited communities in B.C., Alberta and the Northwest Territories.

Tomorrow, they will conduct a public hearing in Saskatoon at the Radisson Hotel.
