The RCMP say there is no danger to the public following a two-vehicle crash over the weekend involving a semi-trailer carrying uranium oxide.

The collision took place at around 10:30 Saturday morning at the intersection of Highway 11 and Highway 15, near Kenaston.

The Mounties say the southbound semi struck an eastbound car and ended up in a ditch.

The female driver of the car and the male driver of the semi were taken to hospital with undetermined injuries.

A hazardous materials team was called in, but determined none of the uranium oxide leaked from its container.
