Two men have made brief court appearances in the death of a woman whose remains police believe they have found on a Saskatchewan reserve.

Amber Redman’s mother and other family supporters stared at 29-year-old Albert Patrick Bellegarde and 31-year-old Gilbert Allan Bellegarde as the two suspects were led into a Regina courtroom today.

Their cases were quickly adjourned to later this month.

They are charged with first-degree murder in connection with Redman’s death.

Both suspects are from the Little Black Bear First Nation, where the remains were discovered earlier this week — but police are refusing to say whether the two are relatives.

RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Carole Raymond says investigators are still on the reserve today looking for clues.

Redman was 19 when she was last seen outside a bar in Fort Qu’Appelle in July 2005.
