The Riverbend Institution in Prince Albert has a lot of explaining to do after announcing the escape of another inmate in less than one week.

On Tuesday, it was reported that 22 year old Morgan Knott went missing from the minimum security farming facility near the Saskatchewan Penitentiary.

Today, Riverbend officials released details surrounding the second escape this week and fifth escape of the year. Three inmates walked away from the facility in August of this past year, and two are still at large.

34 year old Mathew Funk was last seen during the institutions formal count last night. He is serving a 3 year, 10 month sentence for drug trafficking charges.

He is described as being 5’10’’, 207 pounds, with a fair complexion, blue eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of both escapees is urged to contact the proper authorities immediately.
