Search For Missing Float Plane Ends Well

Two men reported missing in a float plane last night near Uranium city have been located safe and sound.

Transwest Air owner Jim Glass says the men were attempting to take off from Carswell Lake when the battery went dead.

He says, because there is no radio service in that particular part of the north, the pilot took the appropriate action of just waiting it out.

Glass says when the company didn’t hear from them last night, search and rescue teams were contacted.

A boat from Carswell Lake Lodge picked them up today.

Glass says mechanics have been flown in to repair the plane.
