Kamsack RCMP are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the suspect in a sexual assault that took place on the Cote First Nation last year.

The Mounties say they received a report that a 33-year-old woman from the community was sexually assaulted on May 16th, 2006.

They say the woman knows her assailant.

42-year-old Steven Daniel Badger, also of the Cote First Nation, was formally charged with sexual assault.

A warrant was issued for his arrest, but police have yet to find him.

The RCMP say Badger is believed to have connections to both Saskatoon and Winnipeg and may be in either city.

Anyone who has information on Badger’s whereabouts is asked to contact their local police agency or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
