Seabee Mine Experiences Drop In Production

The president of a gold mine north of La Ronge isn’t overly concerned about its recent sluggish output.

Neil McMillan of Claude Resources says the Seabee mine’s 10-thousand-ounce drop in 2004 was fairly minimal given the usual swings mines go through during their lifespan.

McMillan adds the Seabee mine accounts for 75 percent of his company’s revenue and cash flow.

A recent independent appraisal of the operation concluded mining could continue for a minimum of 12 years.

However, McMillan expects to surpass that easily.
