The Northwest Regional Development Council is hosting a meeting tonight in Beauval, where officials from Saskpower will discuss a number of outstanding topics.
They include the future of power-generation in the northwest; something one government official says will become more important with the construction of a road to Fort McMurray.
Gerald Roy, of Northern Affairs, says co-generation could be the future of the region.
Saskpower officials will also discuss employment opportunities with the company and how suppliers can get on to their purchasing list.
It begins tonight in the Beauval Arena Mezzanine at 6:30.
