Saskatchewan Housing has announced the two winners of the first Research Program Grant totaling $45,000.

Community Resources spokeswoman Debbie Clark says the two projects include research on the homelessness among federally released offenders and the energy efficiency of hydronic radiant slab heating in housing.

Clark says the two projects applied for the research program grant that was announced in the later part of 2005 and are expected to be completed by April 2007.

She says the projects had to meet a list of specific criteria to receive the funding.

Applications for next years grant are being accepted later this summer.
