Saskatchewan premier Brad Wall says the province’s first nations and metis residents are benefiting strongly under his government.

Last night at the premier’s dinner in Prince Albert, Wall said thirty-five hundred more aboriginal people had recently begun working in Saskatchewan.

He says his party’s willingness to engage first nations and fund areas like training are starting to pay off.

The premier leaves today (tues) for Ontario where he is expected to try and recruit more workers for the province.

He says Saskatchewan’s population boom is a sign his policies are working.

He adds Saskatchewan will continue to work with the government of Alberta to reduce barriers to trade.
