Sask. Aboriginal Artists Up For Music Awards

The final nominees were announced yesterday for the 2009 Canadian Aboriginal Music Awards.

Some Saskatchewan artists are up for awards, including Andrea Menard for Best Music Video and Buffy Sainte-Marie, who is nominated four times, including for Album of the Year.

As well, the North Battleford group Feedback has been nominated for Best Rock Album.

Digging Roots has the most nominations, with six, and is also nominated for Album of the Year.

The awards will be handed out Friday, Nov. 27 in Hamilton, Ontario.
