Sandy Lake Band Member Enters City Byelection

A First Nations woman from Sandy Lake has announced she’s going to run in an upcoming byelection in Prince Albert.

Priscilla Joseph is running against four other candidates, for the vacant Ward 4 seat in the East Flat.

Joseph is a trained psychiatric nurse who speaks fluent Cree.

The vote takes place on September 14th.

Lee Aitken, Don Cody, Lee Penner and Shawn Williams are the other candidates in the race.
