Sandy Bay Celebrates Opening Of Resource Centre

The new Sandy Bay Community Resource Centre is holding its grand opening today.

Chairman Paul Morin says the CRC was built and designed to be used as a way for the community to move forward from past struggles, which include a rash of youth suicides that made headlines a few months ago.

Morin says the centre will offer counselling and other services for community members to utilize on a daily basis.

He says this was a community initiative that has been in the works for some time, and adds it’s great to finally see it come to fruition.
