Some residential school survivors are getting pointers on how to manage their money.
The Saskatoon Tribal Council is hosting financial well-being workshops for survivors today in Saskatoon.
Many Aboriginal leaders are worried what might happen when compensation cheques start flowing a few months from now.
There is concern that elderly survivors might be taken advantage of by scam artists, businesses, or even family members.
Today’s workshops will deal with basic banking, investments, wills and estates, credit protection and fraud, and financial management.
