Vehicle collisions claimed the lives of two men from Saskatchewan reserves over the weekend.

A 38-year-old Poundmaker man was killed early Saturday evening on the Sweetgrass First Nation in a hit and run.

The victim was walking on one of the roadways on the reserve when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 22-year-old local resident.

The accused left the accident scene and is still at large.

Alcohol is said to have been a factor.

In the other incident, a 49-year-old man from the Gordon First Nation was killed in a single vehicle rollover on a grid road near the reserve.

He was the passenger of the vehicle.

The 44-year-old female driver is expected to face impaired driving charges.
