Fifteen children from the Fishing Lake First Nation were hospitalized yesterday following a single vehicle rollover involving a school bus.

The RCMP says the children suffered undetermined injuries.

The female driver was also hospitalized.

The accident took place on a grid road near Foam Lake yesterday afternoon.

It appears the driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch, at which point the bus rolled once and came to rest on its wheels.

RCMP spokesman Corporal Brian Jones isn’t sure how severe the injuries to the passengers were, but says they appear to be non-life threatening.

The children were apparently on a group outing to a local recreational area.

It’s not known why the driver lost control of the vehicle.
