A suspect in the murder of Amber Redman is no longer in custody.

31-year-old Gilbert Allan Bellegarde is facing a charge of first-degree murder in connection to Redman’s disappearance and the recent discovery of her remains on the Little Black Bear Reserve.

The Crown consented to his release during a bail hearing in Regina yesterday.

One of the conditions attached to his release is that he not have any contact with the other suspect in the case, 29-year-old Albert Patrick Bellegarde.

Gilbert Bellegarde also must abide by a 10 p.m. curfew at his mother’s residence on Little Black Bear, and he can’t drink any liquor or take any non-presciption drugs.

Both suspects are due to make their next court appearances in Regina Provincial Court tomorrow.
