Métis riders and their Red River carts made their way to the RCMP Heritage Centre in Regina yesterday.

It was the last day in their two-week trek from Manitoba.

Sheryl Kirchaba’s journey started in Virden two weeks ago.

She says following the trail of her ancestors is about celebrating Métis culture and connecting with her past.

The riders will return next year to mark the 125th anniversary of the Battle of Batoche.
