Red Earth Teen Implicated In Nipawin Stabbing

RCMP in Nipawin have made two arrests in connection to the discovery of a local man suffering from stab wounds in the community yesterday morning.

Officers were called to a local residence at around 6:00 a.m. yesterday to a report of an unknown man in a yard.

When the Mounties arrived, they found a 32-year-old man suffering from non-life threatening stab wounds.

He was eventually transported to hospital.

Officers arrested a 21-year-old man from Nipawin and a 16-year-old male youth from the Red Earth First Nation.

Both are charged with aggravated assault and have pending court appearances.

The investigation is ongoing.
