Record Lows in La Ronge, Key Lake

Cold weather records are falling in Northern Saskatchewan.

 

Environment Canada says La Ronge’s overnight temperature of -45.8 degrees Celsius smashed the old record set in 1934 by 3 degrees.

 

New records for overnight lows were also set in Meadow Lake and Key Lake.

 

Environment Canada also says Key Lake was the Canadian cold spot this morning.

 

At one point, the temperature there was -52 degrees Celsius.
