The RCMP might have a break in the manhunt for a suspect believed responsible for shooting two Mounties near Spiritwood.
There are reports of two separate sightings of an individual that appears to match the description of the suspect, 41-year-old Curtis Alfred Dagenais.
The person of interest was spotted early Saturday afternoon on Highway 12 between the Martins Lake Regional Park and the Highway 3 junction.
Police are now asking for the public’s assistance in locating that person and confirming his identity.
A massive manhunt has been underway for almost four days now.
The two victims, 29-year-old Constable Robin Cameron of the Beardy’s/Okemasis First Nation and 26-year-old Constable Marc Bourdages of Saint-Eustache, Quebec, remain in intensive care and in serious condition.
