RCMP Raid On-Reserve Marijuana Grow Op

A raid was conducted Sunday evening on what the Loon Lake RCMP say was a marijuana growing operation on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation.

The Mounties say the grow op was discovered after they executed a search warrant at a local residence.

Police seized 28 plants and a quantity of dried marijuana packaged for sale with a combined value of about $30,000.

No one was at the residence at the time of the raid.

However, the RCMP say they are expecting to lay charges against two people in connection to the seizure.
