The RCMP’s traffic service units are promising to crack down on high-risk drivers in the northern and central regions of Saskatchewan this holiday season.

Check stops will be set up sporadically to focus on impaired drivers, seatbelt usage, intersection infractions and high-risk driving behavior

The Mounties say that police in the North will be using traditional and non-traditional enforcement methods.

RCMP indicate they will have extra patrols in Waskesiu, the Prince Albert area, Shellbrook, Pinehouse, La Ronge, Big River, Creighton, Hudson Bay, Tisdale and Melfort.
