RCMP Probing Two Deaths At Onion Lake

The RCMP are calling a death on the Onion Lake First Nation last week “suspicious”.

Details are still sketchy, but the Mounties say the body of a 36-year-old Onion Lake man was found in a reserve residence last Thursday.

The force’s Saskatoon-based Major Crimes Section is assisting with the investigation.

Meanwhile, the RCMP say charges are pending following a fatal crash late last week in Onion Lake.

The victim was one of six people involved in a single vehicle rollover at around 7:30 Thursday night.

The other occupants were taken to hospital in Lloydminster.

The Mounties say alcohol is believed to have been a factor in the crash.
