RCMP Officer Charged In Fatal Lloydminster Crash

A 37 year old RCMP officer, along with a 74 year old man, has been charged in a 2005 accident that took the life of a 65 year old woman from Lloydminster.

 

65 year old Irene Crews died in a collision between a police cruiser and a private vehicle on September 17th, 2005 on Highway 16 in the border community.

 

The unidentified RCMP officer will face a charge of unreasonable speed which will be heard before a court today.

 

The 74 year old driver of the other vehicle is charged with making an improper left turn. His case will be before a judge on May 2nd.

 

Their names will be released following their court appearances.
