RCMP Make Cocaine Bust in Ile-a-la-Crosse

A 38-year-old resident of Ile-a-la-Crosse faces charges of drug possession and trafficking after a cocaine seizure over the weekend.

Spencer Jupe made a court appearance in Beauval earlier today.

Jupe has also been charged with possessing money produced from the proceeds of crime.

RCMP Corporal Brian Jones says 13 grams of cocaine and $1,200 in cash were seized during the raid on a village residence this past Saturday.

The drugs have an estimated street value of $4,000.

Jupe to due to be released from custody, pending the posting of $1,000 bail.

His next court appearance is scheduled to take place a week from today in Ile-a-la-Crosse.
