RCMP Investigating Homicide In La Loche

RCMP in La Loche say a local teen died in the community over the weekend under suspicious circumstances.

19-year-old Blair Lemaigre was taken to the local clinic after being found injured in a local parking lot shortly after 4:00 am on Sunday.

Lemaigre eventually succumbed to his injuries.

No charges have been laid, but the RCMP confirm they are treating his death as a homicide.

The RCMP’s Major Crimes Unit based in Saskatoon has been called in to help with the investigation, as has the Battlefords’ RCMP Forensic Identification Unit and Police Dog section.

Anyone with information regarding Lemaigre’s death is urged to contact the RCMP immediately.
