RCMP Investigate Deadly ATV Accident

Loon Lake RCMP are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal ATV accident yesterday.

Mounties received calls that a young male was trapped under a quad just north of Loon Lake at the bottom of a ravine in the canyon on the outskirts of the community.

17 year old Morgan Scott Evans of Loon Lake was found to be deceased at the scene.

It appears that the youth had been traveling south through a washed out part of a trail on the Makwa Sahgaiechcan First Nation when he lost control of his ATV causing it to roll over on top of him.

He was wearing his helmet at the time of the accident.
