RCMP Execute Drug Raid North Of La Ronge

Two La Ronge residents are facing numerous drug charges following an RCMP raid on a home 10 kilometres north of the community.

Last Wednesday afternoon, RCMP officers conducting the search recovered approximately four pounds of marijuana, a digital scale, $1,500 in cash, other drug paraphernalia and three firearms.

A 51-year-old male and 34-year-old female have been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of the proceeds of crime.

The man also faces weapons-related charges.

The two suspects are making court appearances today in La Ronge Provincial Court.
