RCMP Empty Apartment At OCN In Search Of Inmate

The RCMP thought they had cornered one of the inmates who escaped from the Regina Correctional Centre last month, but they came up empty-handed this morning.

Mounties in The Pas say that they recieved a credible report yesterday morning that Daniel Richard Wolfe was at an apartment complex on the Opaskwayak Cree Nation.

Police evacuated 18 of the 20 units in the building and called in Emergency Response Teams from both Manitoba and Saskatchewan, but a search this morning turned up nothing.

RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Line Karpish says mobilizing this many units takes time.

Those tenants that were evacuated are being allowed to return home.

Wolfe remains at large and is considered armed and dangerous.
