Traffic in the Creighton, Pelican Narrows and Sandy Bay areas is under greater police scrutiny this week.

The RCMP’s Prince Albert-based Regional Traffic Services division and the local RCMP detachments will be enforcing provincial and criminal Laws in the areas for the remainder of this week.

Constable Chad McLeod says due to the large area in which his division must cover, he and his colleagues occasionally have to narrow their focus on a few communities at a time.

McLeod says they will be enforcing all laws, including traffic, seatbelt and child restraint violations.

The increased police presence will remain in the Creighton, Pelican Narrows, and Sandy Bay areas until Saturday.
