RCMP Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect in La Ronge

A female suspect in an armed robbery at the Quarry Confectionary in La Ronge on Canada Day is making a court appearance today.

The RCMP says a woman with a knife entered the store just before 9 o’clock that night.

No one was injured, but a small amount of money was taken during the robbery.

However, the Mounties say the stolen money was recovered after they apprehended their suspect.

This is the 3rd armed robbery at a La Ronge confectionary store in the last 2 months.

The Quarry Confectionary was the scene of another armed robbery in May.

Henry’s Place/Meechawin Store was robbed last month.
