Two former Saskatoon police officers have lost their bid to overturn the findings of a public inquiry into the 1990 freezing death of an aboriginal teen.

The province’s Court of Appeal was asked to quash the conclusions of the inquiry into Neil Stonechild’s death.

Justice David Wright found that former constables Larry Hartwig and Brad Senger had Stonechild in custody the night he died.

Lawyers for the former police officers argued,in part, that the judge exceeded the scope of the investigation but the Court of Appeal disagreed.
