The RCMP are looking for a 40-year-old Air Ronge man suspected of stealing money, cigarettes and a vehicle from a business in the Deschambault Lake area.

The Mounties say Dominic Rediron is accused of stealing a “large amount of cash”, numerous cartons of cigarettes and a 1996 Dodge pickup truck belonging to the business early Monday morning.

The owner of the business notified the local RCMP of the missing items at around 9:00 yesterday morning. The Mounties suspect Rediron made off with the stolen goods a few hours earlier.

The stolen vehicle was eventually found abandoned about 25 kilometres south of the business on Highway 106. The RCMP believes it was abandoned due to mechanical failure.

The Mounties are asking for the assistance of anyone who may have been travelling on Highway 106 yesterday.

They say Rediron may have been trying to hitchhike to La Ronge or Prince Albert, because he has connections to both communities.

Rediron is 5’10” tall, weighs 176 lbs., and has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on this matter is asked to contact the Pelican Narrows RCMP at (306) 632-3300 or Saskatchewan Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
