The “Joe’s Garage” project at the Downtown Youth Centre in Saskatoon is receiving $71,000 of funding from the federal government.
The project gives young men the stepping stones to guide them in the right direction.
It is catered towards Aboriginal males aged 12 to 19.
Program youth worker Russ Misskey says the funding will help the center continue helping those in need by providing recreational, cultural and life skills activities.
The center also helps troubled youth with additions and counseling.
The project has been operating since 2000.
