The Northern Lights Casino in Prince Albert is preparing to undergo a $1.5-million expansion of its interior.
General manager Richard Ahenakew says new flooring is being put in, in addition to First Nations-themed wall murals.
He says the new look of the building will better reflect the northern Aboriginal community that helped build it.
Ahenakew says the official colours of the Prince Albert Grand Council will also be woven into the new design, because it was the PAGC and the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation who helped start it.
As well, a massive pre-fabricated tree will be set up in the very heart of the gaming centre.
The work should be completed by the end of March.
