Prime Minister Nominated To Run In Band Election

Prime Minister Stephen Harper has been nominated in an election for chief on a Saskatchewan First Nation.

According to the Saskatchewan News Network, Harper has been nominated to become the next chief of the Key First Nation in east-central Saskatchewan.

Band member Myrna O’Soup nominated Harper at a band meeting on Monday, in what she admits is an attempt to draw attention to alleged spending abuses on the reserve.

She wants Harper and Indian Affairs Minister Jim Prentice to intervene.

For the record, Harper has until tomorrow to accept the nomination.
