Prentice Staying Put

Prime Minister Stephen Harper shuffled his cabinet today, but the flurry of moves didn’t affect Indian Affairs Minister Jim Prentice.
There had been speculation that Prentice, who’s also the federal interlocutor for Metis, would assume the Environment portfolio from Rona Ambrose. However, Harper decided to replace Ambrose with former Treasury Board president John Baird.
Prentice has not been a favourite of Aboriginal leaders. Last month, he was roundly booed while trying to address an Assembly of First Nations rally on Parliament Hill.
