Preliminary Hearing Set in Montreal Lake Murder

A preliminary hearing date has been set for two of three men accused of killing a man on the Montreal Lake reserve. The two men face charges of assault causing bodily harm as well as second-degree murder.
18 year-old Brian Henderson and 19 year-old Ryan Bird will next appear in court on November 24th.
The matter is expected to take three days and as many as 25 witnesses could be called.
A third man, 32 year-old Calvin Henderson, also faces a charge of assault causing bodily harm in the affair.
It was during the weekend of July the 3rd that 33 year-old David Bradfield died of injuries he sustained in a home on the First Nation.
The hearing is tentatively being scheduled to take place in Montreal Lake.
