A 19-year-old murder suspect from the Poundmaker First Nation will be back in court next week to answer to a charge of second-degree murder.

Brett Moyah made his first court appearance yesterday in North Battleford following his arrest this past weekend.

Moyah is accused of killing 20-year-old Levi Tootoosis, whose body was found outside a home on the Poundmaker reserve Saturday morning.

An autopsy has been performed on the victim’s body, but RCMP are not releasing the results.

Moyah has been remanded in custody until his next court appearance on June 28th.
