Poundmaker May Soon Stop Boiling Water

An end to a boil water advisory on the Poundmaker Cree Nation may be in sight.
A new pump was installed on Friday.
Water workers are testing the water to make sure it’s safe to drink.
Chief Duane Antoine says the advisory was put in place about a week ago.
He says, about two weeks ago, workers noticed that water production in a well had dropped sharply, and water pressure wasn’t keeping up.
Antoine is hopeful that if the all-clear is given, the advisory could be lifted shortly.
