Polls Open In Cumberland House

It’s election day on the Cumberland House Cree Nation and all eyes are on the battle for chief.

Incumbent Peter Laliberte is up against two former chiefs in today’s election — Pierre Settee and Walter Sewap.

In fact, these men are the only people to serve as chief in Cumberland House in recent memory.

The winner will serve a two-year term in office.
