The investigation into the shooting death of a northern woman is nearly complete.

An inspector with the Saskatoon police service says he is close to finishing up his review of an investigation by the Prince Albert police service into Jackie Montgrand’s death.

Jeff Bent says he is just waiting to see one more document before finishing up his work.

He’s hoping to send his review into the provincial government some time next week.

Meanwhile, a sergeant with the Prince Albert Police Service says they plan to sit down with Montgrand’s family to discuss their findings.

Montgrand died on March 18, 2008, after a confrontation with officers in a west flat home.
