It has been two years since a 78-year-old woman from the Kawacatoose First Nation was last seen.

The RCMP are reminding the public that they are still working to locate Emily Osmond, who mysteriously went missing on Sept. 9, 2007.

Police say that Osmond’s disappearance is suspicious, as her dogs, her vehicle, and personal belongings such as her medication were left unattended at her small acreage.

RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Doug Coleman says that police have not given up on the case.

“Over the two years, there’s been of course interviews done by the RCMP, as well as searches to try and locate any evidence of where she may have gone, or any clues into her disappearance. But not only has there just been that work done by the RCMP, there’s also been (work) by the family and the community at large, who have conducted searches in that area,” Coleman says.

At the time of her disappearance, Osmond was 78 years old, with glasses and grey hair, and she walked with a cane.
