Police Looking For Assistance In Sanderson Death

The RCMP Historical Case Unit is asking for the public’s help in cracking an early-year-old mystery.

On April 18th, 2001, Alexander Sanderson was found deceased on the Mistawasis First Nation.

Authorities soon suspected foul play, and believe the band member was murdered.

Sanderson was just 33 years old at the time of his death.

Sergeant Doug Coleman says Mounties continue to work on the case, but are hoping to jog the public’s memory by putting out a call for help.

Anyone who thinks they may have information about the crime is asked to call Crimestoppers or the Saskatoon Historical Case Unit.
