Prince Albert police are confirming that a body discovered last month in the North Saskatchewan River is that of a missing Aboriginal woman.

26-year-old Antoinette Ruth Daniels was last seen getting into a vehicle in the city’s downtown area just over a month ago.

Sergeant Al Fraser says circumstances surrounding her death lead them to suspect it was no accident.

The body was initially spotted by Weyerhaeuser staff on July 22nd.
