Plow Truck Falls Into Ditch Near Beauval

A manager filling in for striking snowplow operators was involved in a mishap yesterday near Beauval.

Highways Department spokesman Doug Wakabayashi says it appears the plow truck the manager was driving at the time went down a steep embankment.

The driver was not hurt, but was taken to hospital as a precaution and was then released.

However, the truck was heavily damaged.

Wakabayashi says it isn’t clear if the truck was plowing snow at the time, or simply en route to a site that needed to be plowed.

He says the investigation into the incident will be handled the same way an accident involving a regular snowplow operator would be dealt with.
