Plans for an expansion to Churchill High School in La Ronge are on schedule.
A spokeswoman with the provincial government says the $22-million project has been approved, and some of the early design work is done.
Margaret Ball is the director of facilities with the province’s Ministry of Education.
She says the ministry is working closely with the Northern Lights School Division and their consultant on the project.
“We are complete (to) the schematic design phase, so we know where functions will fit within the building, and what additions we need to put on. We’re ready to move into the detailed design phase, with the hopes that we’ll be able to tender the project early next spring and get the best price possible,” Ball says.
The project was announced last fall.
