The protest at the school on the Piapot reserve came to an end late Wednesday.

The protestors that have been occupying the building for over a month agreed to leave after getting some concessions from representatives of Indian Affairs.

The protestors are opposed to a new curriculum at the school which assigns students based on their skill level, not their grade level.

As part of the agreement that lead to the end of the protest, the department has agreed to do a full review of the curriculum.

It will also allow parents to remove their children from the controversial curriculum and put them back in the regular curriculum.
