A former senior official at the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations says he’s excited about his new position with the provincial government.

Ron Crowe is the new Deputy Minister of First Nations and Metis Relations.

He joined the ministry in 2007 as an assistant deputy minister.

He says he enjoys his job and views his heritage as a solid benefit when working to strengthen relations in the province.

Crowe says he also places a high priority on northern affairs.
